Right Wind vs. Left Wind Coiled Springs
Whether a spring is coiled right or left wind has no effect on its life, strength or quality as long as high quality wire is used in its manufacture. The advantage is with tempered right wind cable as when pressure is applied, the coiled spring expands against the locking device or chuck and therefore does not require repeated tightening.
